Can you share your birth name with us?

 

Vizra: My full name is Nwalu Chiechefu.

 

What inspired you to choose the name "Vizra" for your music career?

 

Vizra: Vizra was a nickname my friends gave me back in high school, and it just stuck.

 

How long have you been in the music industry?

 

Vizra: I dropped my first song in 2012, so it’s been over a decade now.



How would you describe the genre or style of music you produce?

 

Vizra: My style is rooted in Hip-Hop, but I’m always open to experimenting with different sounds.

 

What inspires your musical style, and what drew you to Hip-Hop specifically?

 

Vizra: My music is inspired by the streets and everyday life. Hip-Hop felt like the right avenue to express the experiences and emotions that resonate with me.

 

How many languages do you incorporate in your songs?

 

Vizra: I use three languages: Igbo, English, and Pidgin.



What significance does incorporating different languages have for you?

 

Vizra: It’s about representing my people, both at home and abroad. Using different languages allows me to connect with various audiences and stay true to my roots.

 

How would you describe the sound of your music from your perspective?

 

Vizra: I know I’m good at what I do. I create sounds that speak to my truth and resonate with listeners.

 

 

Can you walk us through the production process of your latest track, "Steady Paid"? Were there any memorable experiences or challenges?

 

Vizra: Honestly, no challenges. I was just having fun when I recorded Steady Paid. The energy in the studio was great, and everything flowed smoothly.

 

Now that "Steady Paid" is out, how do you feel about its release and reception?

 

Vizra: I am happy with the reception of the record, it motivates to want to this.

 

Are there any upcoming collaborations with other artists we should look out for?

 

Vizra: Definitely. Some big collaborations are coming real soon. Stay tuned!

 

In your opinion, what is it about your music that draws people in?

 

Vizra: I think it’s my lyrics. My audience can easily relate to what I’m saying because it’s real and it reflects the life we live.



Do you have a particular song that holds special meaning to you?

 

Vizra: Yes, there’s one that means a lot to me because it reflects my personal journey—from struggling to success. It’s a reminder of where I’ve come from and where I’m headed.

 

What’s next for you? Should we expect more music or a full album soon?

 

Vizra: When the time is right, you’ll be the first to know. Just know I’m always working on something.

 

What advice would you give to upcoming artists looking to break into the music industry?

 

Vizra: Take your craft seriously and be intentional about investing in it. The journey isn’t easy, but it’s worth it if you stay focused.
