Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black - Making a movie is hard so shout out to everyone who helped make this happen. With that said this was not a great film. The opening scene was outrageous, laughable, poorly lit, and cringe dialogue.

Tyler reaches back to his early themes to create this patchwork Frankenstein of a film. The story and dialogue were equally bad which made it a struggle for Megan and Corey to find footing in such muddy terrain.
Hardrict's Character was a skeleton of movie tropes with no heart or soul. Filled with random outbursts that were boarding on comical. No real reason for him wanting a divorce it didn't make sense and the story unraveled from there. And speaking of unravel let's talk about this HOUR AND A HALF drive!!

Whew, Tyler should have left that out or put them all in the same city because now you have people transporting them from place to place. I'll say this though Megan, Corey, and the rest of the cast did the best they could with this predictable, stage play of a script. I've seen them both give better performances so I have to blame the director... but I will give it up to Tyler for getting the for his actors. If you are up for drama go check it out on Netflix.
