What Neymar and his father said after he was snubbed from FIFA's 'The Best' finalists

No doubt, Neymar is one of the best footballers in the world and sooner or later, if he continues to maintain the level that he is, he will win the Ballon D'Or, The Best and other awards.

The Best FIFA award is an award that was created to revive the prestigious FIFA Player Of The Year Award and it was introduced in 2017. Ronaldo has been a finalist in all 5 occasions, winning 2.

Neymar was a finalist in 2018 for the 2017/18 season but he finished 3rd on the list behind Ronaldo and Messi. Having reached the Final of the Champions league last season, losing to Bayern Munich, Neymar would have been hoping to be nominated among the final 3 but the official finalists are Ronaldo, Messi and Lewandowski.

Immediately the finalists were announced officially for the event that will hold on the 17th of December, Neymar tweeted and it may have been an indirect critism at the award.

His tweeted insinuated that he must have been ignored because he was no longer a footballer but into another sport, that is how one of his followers interpreted it, many of them are angry at the snub.

His father also posted immediately saying his son will always be among the best, no matter what people think after which he quoted 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 and told him that he loves him.
