The BBNAIJA House Has a full load of surprises packed to make Day 89 more interesting but the main highlight has been the Tacha and Mercy bout which took place earlier in the day. A day after the eviction of bbnaija fellow housemate, Cindy, a battle broke out between mercy and tacha who are two of the favourite housemates in the house and surely a week to the end of the Show , we would assume that a fight is a huge risk to have now and with that in mind, it was a clash of titans/Champions between tacha and mercy which had its own consequences. Mercy being given a two strike while tacha already on a strike given another two strike automatically getting her disqualified and ineligible to win the Big Brother Show. This left fate in the hands of many Nigerians to battle and complain about and ranting over social media.

Fact:
The last time Nigerians were so interesting in a topic was the Day of the Death of Late Gen. Sani Abacha.

CREEPY ARENA GAMES

The Friday arena games of Game week 11 was designed in a creepy Halloween style in which the housemates especially mercy and diane had a freaky feeling about the games…..hours after tacha had been disqualified, the bbnaija housemates entered the arena for the Friday night arena games which was designed in an Halloween fashion. The tasks were:
1.) Bounce two different eyeballs into two different cups of unidentified drinks
2.) Walk through the narrow road of the spider web
3.) Take a stick (in shape of a bullet) and shoot the top of a dead man manikin
4.) Take a ring and throw it through the ring to finish the task. The max. time for a task was 7 mins and any violations attracted 30 secs more to the HMs time.

Housemates still in the Big Brother House:
1.) Diane
2.) Mercy
3.) Omashola
4.) Frodd
5.) Mike
6.) Ike
7.) Seyi
8.) Elozonam
Total : 6 male and 2 female contestants remaining in the house.

Also Eligible to still represent Guinea-Bissau......Do you think Guinea-Bissau should take this young talent back to Africa or he should continue his european journey........What do you think?

It is a sure-fire sign of a player having something special when he is bestowed with his own song on only his second senior start and, true to his new terrace chant, Mason Greenwood provided just the sort of “dynamite” Manchester United needed on a difficult night.
There is probably never a bad time for a 17-year-old to claim his first goal for United but boy was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer grateful to Greenwood for his moment of inspiration. This was threatening to become an embarrassing night’s work for a much-changed United against the champions of Kazakhstan when Greenwood stepped up, grabbed a limp game by the scruff of the neck and underlined why his manager rates him as one of the most naturally instinctive finishers he has ever seen.
Still 12 days short of his 18th birthday, Greenwood’s goal made him United’s youngest ever scorer in Europe, eclipsing the record set by Marcus Rashford against Midtjylland in 2016. Rashford is an obvious reference point for Greenwood, a striker who has taken precisely the steps the teenager is now doing, but this was a frustrating evening for the more senior Englishman and he will have been grateful that Greenwood managed to find his way to goal because it was a task that eluded him.
And what a goal it was. It was hard to pick a way through the mass of bodies in the penalty area when Greenwood received Fred’s pass 17 minutes from time but the striker had only one intention. Greenwood can shift his weight effortlessly from one side to the next, a virtue in part of being completely two footed, and Dorin Rotariu barely knew what day it was as the United striker turned inside with his left and created enough space to drill home a precise shot with his right through the legs of Nenad Eric, a skill in itself. Defenders will learn quickly that Greenwood cannot be pushed towards a weaker side because he does not have one.

“Mason .... Greenwood’s dynamite, he scores them with his left and he scores them with his right,” goes that song. There have been quality players who hung around for years at United and never got their own song so Greenwood should count himself pretty privileged. Solskjaer allowed Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave this summer without bringing in a replacement which, in itself, is a huge show of faith in Greenwood and this was certainly a first step towards repaying that trust.
“For me, it was the right decision for the club and for him,” Solskjaer said. “He’s going to be important this season. He has not played a lot so far but he will get his minutes and he will grow and develop.
“He is great to watch. To get him inside the box you know something is going to happen, and he can go inside, he can go outside, it was a great finish, through the legs of the keeper. It is very natural for him to score goals. He showed glimpses today of what he can become.
“He doesn’t change his demeanour if he scores or misses. He is a delightful young boy to work with.”
A new contract will also be on its way soon. “We are always in talks with the boys,” Solskjaer said. “Mason is obviously one we will want to keep with us.”
Watch the way Greenwood moves and strikes the ball and it is hard not to think of Robin van Persie. There is a very long way to go before he can lay any sort of genuine comparison to the former United, Arsenal and Holland striker but, aesthetically, there are obvious similarities. As historic a moment as this was for Greenwood, it was a game Solskjaer will want to move on quickly from. “I didn’t feel confident we were going to win until the referee blew his whistle,” the manager said.
Marcos Rojo and Axel Tuanzebe – two of nine changes from the Leicester win – equipped themselves well but this was a slog. Astana packed men behind the ball and United found them hard to break down and, when they did, Rashford’s shooting boots deserted him. Four chances passed him by in the first period, with Fred also hitting the crossbar.
Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong, Greenwood’s fellow academy graduates, made their first professional starts but both struggled to make much headway and were replaced by Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata, whose arrival brought greater impetus to proceedings. It was, though, all about Greenwood in the end

HIGHLIGHTS:

PSG 3-0 REAL MADRID

Angel Di Maria struck twice to lead Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-0 victory over Real Madrid to hand the French giants an early advantage in Champions League Group A.
Real fans may have hoped that the return of Zinedine Zidane - who won this competition three years in a row during his first spell in the Bernabeu dugout - would inspire Los Blancos in Paris, but Real simply did not turn up at Parc des Princes.
Di Maria opened the scoring after 14 minutes with a well-taken effort at the near post, though Thibaut Courtois will feel he could have done better with the ball relatively close to him.
However, there was nothing the Real goalkeeper could do about the second as Di Maria clinically finished from outside the box after being teed up by former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Eden Hazard had little impact on his full debut for Real, while Keylor Navas - lining up against his former club - was beaten with 13 minutes left, but Karim Benzema's effort was ruled out for a Lucas Vazquez offside during the build-up.
And PSG piled on the misery late on as Thomas Meunier struck an injury-time goal to add gloss for Thomas Tuchel's team.
While the defeat is by no means a hammer-blow for Real's hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages, the result against a PSG team lacking both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar lays bare the scale of the task facing Zidane if he is to add to the three European Cup triumphs during his first spell as Real coach.
Relive the action in Paris!

Nigerian strikers Peter Olayinka and Victor Osimhen headlined the host of Nigerian players who were in action as Champions League football returned with a host of exciting games played on Tuesday, September 17.

In this piece, we review the performances of Nigerian players in Tuesday games.

Peter Olayinka (Inter Milan 1 Vs 1 Slavia Prague)

Czech champions Slavia Prague almost caused an upset in the Champions League on Tuesday as Inter Milan needed a goal in added time to grab a draw.
It was Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka who scored for Slavia Prague in the 63rd minute as the Czech side almost took all three points from San Siro. Inter Milan fought back and scored in added time to share the points.

Olayinka was impressive in the game and gave the Inter Milan defence a lot of trouble in the game.

Victor Osimhen (Ajax 3 Vs 0 Lille)

It wasn’t a delightful Champions league debut for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen who was closely watched as Ajax beat Lille 3-0.
Osimhen played for 90 minutes but could not get a debut goal.

Paul Onuachu (Red Bull Salzburg 6 Vs 2 Genk)

With Stephen Odey not listed for the game, Paul Onuachu was the only Nigerian player who was in action for Genk in their 6-2 away loss at Salzburg on Tuesday night.
The Nigeria striker was introduced mid-way into the second half and didn't see much of the ball to make an impact.
